Ulaan Baatar – at dawn

Jet lag has a way of bringing out the need to walk about and discover….

I awoke to read: Ulaan Baatar – capital city of what was once the world’s largest empire. Built by Soviet, Japanese prisoners of war and Chinese labor.”
As I walked around the city at sun rise this morning, I can’t but think of how the new builders of this version of the modern Mongolian Empire are thinking as they awake.
