* We will have a run clock, but will only record the times of the top three men/women. Other runners will need to record their own times. Walkers will have a delayed start. The walk/run is a 5K loop along the banks of the Hudson.

Winter will soon be upon the people of northeastern Japan most affected by the earthquake, tsunami and nuclear disasters.

The Before the Snow: Japan Earthquake Disaster Relief 5K Run/Walk on Sunday, October 30 at 10 a. m. in Liberty State Park, Jersey City, NJ will raise money to help the victims of the earthquake this winter and support reconstruction efforts. Liberty State Park in Jersey City, features breathtaking views of the Manhattan skyline as well as easy access by ferry, PATH train, and Light Rail.

We are arranging a shuttle bus from the Exchange Place PATH station on the day and encourage participants to take the ferry to the run site from World Financial Center.

Sign Up or Donate Now. All of the funds raised will be donated to the Japan Society Earthquake Relief Fund, which supports nine local nonprofit organizations in Japan on the front lines of relief and recovery in Tohoku.

Donations are tax deductible and eligible for many companies' matching gift programs.

Prudential Financial has generously agreed to cover administrative costs for this event, allowing 100% of funds raised to directly support relief efforts.
