Saturday was a glorious day in New York City on the upper west side, just north-west of Columbia University. The celebration was the 100 Year Anniversary of the gift of cherry blossom trees (Sakura) from Japan to the United States. It was wonderful to see the people of the village of Harlem and performers from Japan and America share the love.
Zuiho Taiko from Nagasaki, Tiffany Obi – Winner, Apollo Theatre Stars of Tomorrow and The Harlem Japanese Choir were among the performers.
Great stuff.
